Leago is sitting with mom at his back on the floor in the lounge. They are playing with a toy piano – mom pressing keys and Lee trying to do the same. Mom tells granny how well Leago is balancing. Leago and mom look at each other and smile occasionally. Lee bobs towards the piano keys with hands and mouth. Granny says “you are over-excited Lee”.
Leago manages to play a few notes himself and looks towards the filmmaker, smiles and laughs.
There are moments when mom pushes the keys fast and Leago puts his hands on or under hers pushing hers away. When mom starts to move around and away from Leago he lets out a loud voice
The use of word “shame” in South Africa very often mean “sorry for you” (in a joking manner - similar to "tough luck") or “I feel for you” – depending on the context.
The word “haaisukha” can mean “get away!” if said strongly/ seriously or it can be playful “go away” or “No, man. Stop it!” depending on the tone.
