Banele is lying on his mother’s chest, having eaten. Nomusa is trying to get him to burp before letting him sleep. She pats and rubs his back. She looks tired and almost falls asleep holding him. The nanny (referred to as "Auntie") is pouring water from cup to cup to cool it in preparation for making more milk. Banele’s two young sisters play in the background with a homemade house and cut-out cardboard doll – trying to fix something which is broken and asking mom about how Banele will grow.
