Banele is on the couch with mom who is offering her hand but he does not take it. He is passed over to dad who feeds him and he settles. Dad spends time moving/ rubbing the teat of the bottle around Banele’s mouth while he stares towards the ceiling and directly at dad. Banele is also active in touching and holding the bottle while feeding. A while later he starts to cry again and Sihle, Banele’s oldest sibling, collects him from dad and takes him onto the couch where all the other siblings are seated. They watch as he engages with the filmmaker and camera commenting “Say cheese” and ‘Now they [the viewers] can really see him.”
